{Fashion Friday...it's all in the details}

maybe it's a sign that i've lived in new york too long, but over the last few years i've become the person who loves a basic outfit...give me some black, white, grey, or denim and i am happy.

 

this could easily look boring or un-styled, but it's truly all in the details. whether your black pants are leather, you add a few extra rings or layer a couple necklaces together, throw on a leapord print flat or maybe a fur vest and you've instantly saved your outfit from being boring. 

take these girls for example:

{Festive Fashion}

i can still remember my first visit to a zara store..

we were in miami heading to turks and caicos for vacation and mr. w wanted to take me to his favorite store from when he had lived there a few years prior.

let's just say it was love at first sight. the only thing that kept me from buying everything that i could cram into my suitcase was the fact that we were moving to nyc directly after our vacation and i knew nyc had loads and loads of zara stores. my love affair with this store has only grown deeper since. i always find a 'must-have' any time i go. 

these would be my go to looks if i had a festive holiday party to attend this winter.

i find it way to cold to be running around the city with bare legs..

and i like being comfy..

i'm getting way too practical in my old age..

too cool for school

we all know them from their cutie patooty days of tag teaming as michelle on full house, but these days the olsen twins are some serious style icons.

they do that "oh yeah, let me just throw on this sweatshirt and not brush my hair...and i'll still manage to look ten thousand times cooler than anyone else on the planet" thing...seriously, how do they do this? a girl can only hope to one be so cool as them..
